Welcome to the TGIF Talkgroup # 310068 - W4BAD / KB2AHZ Linked Repeater System

This talkgroup is to provide DMR Amateur Radio Operators an opportunity to connect, monitor, and communicate with other amateur radio operators on the W4BAD/KB2AHZ 2M/70CM Linked repeater system.

This repeater system provides a wide area of coverage in both Virginia and North Carolina. At any given time there is usually a handful of operators monitoring.

This repeater system is primarily Analog, but has options to connect via IRLP, Echo Link and DMR, with other improvements and modes available in the future.

The system has 3 weekly nets, on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays.

Sunday 8PM EST - Hosted on the Oxford, NC 145.170 MHz Repeater is the North Carolina Four County ARES (NC4CA) net called by Tom KG4EDY. This net is an open net for all amateur radio operators and directed through net control, in/outs, ragchew, and ARES Traffic is welcome!

Monday 8:30PM EST - Hosted on the South Hill, VA 147.000 MHz Repeater is the Lake Country Amateur Radio Service; LCARS (W4LCA) net hosted by one of the LCARS members. This net is an open net for all amateur radio operators and directed through net control, in/outs, ragchew, and amateur radio related service traffic is welcome!

Thursday 8PM EST - Hosted on the W4BAD Repeater System in NC is the Thursday Night Trader, Tech, and Ragchew net, hosted by either Victor N4KON or Alex KN4KNG. This net is an open net for all amateur radio operators wishing to buy, sell or trade any amateur radio related equipment, in/outs, technical questions, or ragchew is welcome!

All of the nets are accessible by any repeater and other mode linked into the system. For most nets the N4WFU (Roanoke Rapids, NC) and WA4IZG (Butner, NC) repeaters will link up as well.
